The Metuchen PTO is now using Community Pass, an online registration and payment service for all of its volunteering, directory and membership dues registration. You can now register 24/7 on a secure site!
Volunteering and Registering is Fast and Easy . . . Here’s How . . .
Step 2 If you already have a CommunityPass account from another organization or community, please use your existing username and password to log in to Community Pass. You do not need to create a new account. If you do not have an existing Community pass account Click on “Create an Account for Your Family Now!” Complete the family account form by filling in your information and clicking on “continue” until you finish your account setup. Your family account is now set up. Clicking “finish” will return you to the CommunityPass homepage.
Step 3 From the homepage, select the orange button “Click to Volunteer/Pay Dues!”. Make sure everything is correct on the “Verify Account” and “Email Verification” pages, then click Continue.
Step 4 Select your school-aged children and any adults in your family that wish to volunteer, then click “Continue”. Note: You will only be charged once for membership dues, even when selecting multiple family members.
Step 5 From the “Profile Verification” page, enter the grade and school for each child selected. For adults wishing to volunteer, select “N/A – Adult”. When finished, click on the “Continue” button.
Step 6 On the next page, select the committees you wish to volunteer for under your name (or your spouses, or another adult in the family). If paying membership dues, select the Membership Dues box next to each family. Select the Directory box next to each child you wish to include. When finished, click “continue”.
Step 7 Please follow the remaining steps to complete and pay for your registration, including all form questions and the optional “Too Many Hats” donation page. Payment can be made with a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover).
Book Fair -Reading is FUNdamental! Help to run our phenomenal Scholastic Book Fair by setting up, assisting the kids with their purchases or helping to close up shop. This event can always use a lot of volunteers! Both Moss and Campbell have Book Fairs during the year.
Box Tops -You would be amazed how much money those little cardboard pieces make for our schools! This is another great volunteer opportunity for a parent or family member that doesn't have much spare time during the day. Don’t forget to download the NEW box tops app… scan your receipts and start earning money for our schools!
Head Class Parent - Work with your child's teacher and other class parents to coordinate class parties and events during the year.
Class Parent - Get involved in your child's class by helping with class parties and events throughout the year.
CES Dance Night - Help plan and execute one of the most fun nights of the year for Campbell School students. Volunteers will plan activities, decorate the gym and monitor the kids as they dance the night away.
Fall Fest - Help welcome in the fall and a new school year by volunteering for Fall Fest. Volunteers will help to run carnival games at our newest event for all Campbell / Moss families.
Holiday Bazaar -Before the holidays, the kids have a chance to pick out something special for family members right at their own school! Volunteers are needed to help set up the bazaar, help kids shop, and help close down the bazaar.
Hospitality - Help our members to feel welcome at meetings and events by planning and setting up refreshments. We are looking for volunteers at both Moss and at CES.
Mother's Day Plants - Volunteers will help to gather, sort and distribute Mother's Day plants at Moss and at CES. The kids love to bring home this special treat to Mom!
Registration/Graduation (Moss only) -Helpers are needed for these two important events at Moss! At registration, you will direct families through the different stations and help these new Moss families to feel welcome. At graduation, a theme is chosen and volunteers decorate the gym to help celebrate this very important day for our kindergarteners.
Spring Extravaganza - Help this fantastic Metuchen tradition come to life! Parents are given a topic and they run with it - demonstrations, crafts, live theater - the possibilities are endless as you enrich these young minds. At Moss, the parents choose a book to focus on, rather than a topic. This is one of the most fantastic days of the school year!
Talent Show - Lights, camera, action! These kids have talent and we need volunteers to help them get ready for the big show in the spring. The Talent Show is for CES students. Teacher/Staff Appreciation - This is a wonderful way to show our educators and staff at our schools how much they are appreciated! Feed them, pamper them! They deserve a break.
